Handpainted design on pink satin bomber jacket.2019
This work is part of the ongoing Vide Magmas project, an imaginary girl gang of six characters, each a refracted piece of the artists identity. This work was donated to the RMIT MFA art auction. It features two versions of the Vide Magmas logo painted on the front and back of a satin bomber jacket. This is a wareable piece, pulled from the virtual world of Vide Magmas, that the audience is invited to don to become one and part of the gang. Included with the jacket at auction was a short description to be read out by the auctioner;
“Get your mits on this painstackingly painted Vide Magmas jacket. The first of it’s kind, feel it’s satiny goodness and wear in the knowledge that you are part of a kickass girl gang. And we have jackets!”
